Eligibility criteria:
Each year, the available annual income from the fund will be used to offer one or more scholarships with a maximum value of $3,000 each to students who:
(1) are enrolled either:
(a) full-time (minimum 80% course load) in the second year of the diploma program in the School of Agriculture and completed 24 credit hours of study;
(b) full-time (minimum 80% course load) in any year of study in any undergraduate degree program offered by the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and completed 24 credit hours of study;
(c) full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in a Master of Science or doctoral program offered by any department in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and completed at minimum 6 credit hours of study; or
(d) full-time in a Master of Applied Human Nutrition (MAHN) program in the first year of study offered by the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences; and
(2) have achieved either:
(a) if an undergraduate degree or diploma student, a minimum degree grade point average of 3.0; or
(b) if a graduate student, a minimum grade point average of 3.0 based on the last 60 credit hours of study (or equivalent).
Candidates must submit an application package that includes: (i) justification for the external study, (ii) their goals with respect to professional and personal development as a result of the external study, and (iii) estimated travel costs. Approved costs supported by appropriate documentation will be reimbursed once travel is completed.
