Eligibility criteria:
Each year, one scholarship valued at $1,000 each will be offered to an undergraduate student who:
(1) is enrolled full-time (minimum 80% course load) in either the Asper School of Business in a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree with a declared major in Actuarial Mathematics, or the Faculty of Science in a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree with a declared major in Actuarial Mathematics or Statistics - Actuarial Mathematics;
(2) has achieved a minimum degree grade point average of 3.0;
(3) has successfully completed at least one professional examination set by the Society of Actuaries/Casualty Actuarial Societyor a University Accreditation Program; and
(4) has demonstrated leadership through volunteer activities in the community or at the University of Manitoba.
In order to demonstrate how they meet criterion (4), candidates must submit a letter of application (maximum 250 words) outlining how their leadership and volunteer experiences.
An individual may only hold the Winnipeg Actuarial Club scholarship once in their lifetime.
