Eligibility criteria:
Each year, the available annual income from the fund plus any unspent revenue may be used to offer one or more fellowships to students who: (1) are enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies in any of the first four years of study in any doctoral program; (2) have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.75 based on the last 60 credit hours (or equivalent) of study; and (3) are undertaking research by, with and for Indigenous communities and/or persons. In any year that students are moving into a doctoral program, they will not be eligible until they begin their doctoral program of choice. Applicants will be selected on the basis of academic excellence, commitment to their field of study, the quality and value of the research proposal, and their career objectives.

In order to demonstrate they are undertaking research by, with and for Indigenous communities and/or persons, applicants must submit the following:(i) a one-page cover letter;(ii) a two-page research proposal;(iii) a full curriculum vitae;(iv) a current transcript; and (v) two academic letters of support.
