Eligibility criteria:
Each year, one or two scholarships, valued at $2,000 each, will be offered to graduate students who: (1) are enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Graduate Studies, in the first or second year of study in the Master of Indigenous Studies program offered by the Faculty of Arts; (2) have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0 based on the last 60 credit hours (or equivalent) of study; (3) have completed the two required courses Methodology and Research Issues in Indigenous Studies (INDG 7230) and Issues in Colonization (INDG 7240) with a minimum combined grade point average of 3.0; and (4) will undertake thesis research in Indigenous Studies during the summer term of their first or second year of study in the program. In order to demonstrate how they meet criterion (4), applicants will be required to submit the following: (i) a description of their proposed research project (maximum 500 words), (ii) a current unofficial academic transcript(s), and (iii) a letter of support from their graduate supervisor(s).
